IDS AirNav and Nav Portugal successfully accomplished the execution of the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of the eTOD System.
NAV Portugal is the Air Navigation Service Provider which guarantees the provision of Air Navigation Services over Portuguese Airspace.
Such integrated HW/SW system is provided to Nav Portugal by IDS AirNav, with the following main missions:
• Aeronautical Data Management and Distribution to Data Consumers. • Instrument Flight Procedure Design. • Production of Enroute, SID, STAR, Approach (SSA) and Obstacle Charts.
The Factory Acceptance Test is the key project milestone, in view of the subsequent Site Acceptance Tests and eTOD System Commissioning, which are planned in the first semester of 2020.
Rome, Italy – October 28, 2019 – IDS AirNav has been awarded a contract by the Zambia Airport Corporation for a total consideration of 1.93 million US dollars.
The Zambia Airport Corporation provides air navigation services throughout the Republic of Zambia and manages the four international airports, Lusaka International Airport, Livingstone International Airport, Ndola International Airport and Mfuwe International Airport.
IDS AirNav will provide the AHMS (Aeronautical Message Handling System) and the new dynamic AIM (Aeronautical Information Management) platform for the new Ndola airport contributing to the technological development of air transport in the Republic of Zambia and consolidating Zambia Airports Corporation’s trust in IDS AirNav in the implementation of the ICAO roadmap of transition to new aeronautical information management systems.
Rome, Italy – October 4, 2019 – IDS AirNav, has been awarded a contract by Ministerio da Difesa – Comando da Aeronautica – CISCEA, the Brazilian air navigation service provider, for a total consideration of 600,000 euro.
In particular, IDS AirNav will provide the license management platform and services of ICE (Integrated Cartographic Environment), an aeronautical mapping system capable of producing and managing aeronautical charts relating to flight and route procedures for publication in the AIP (Integrated Aeronautical Information Package).
CISCEA uses the AIM (Aeronautical Information Manual) of IDS AirNav for the design and validation of flight procedures, the simulation and electromagnetic analysis of radio-aids, mapping, publication and management of all useful information for air navigation, from the flight plans to the various bulletins that are issued.
IDS AirNav has been awarded a contract by EANA – Navegacion Aerea Argentina, the Argentinian air traffic control service provider, for the supply and the installation of the new software – CRONOS for a total consideration of 837,000 USD.
The new system, that will be in operation in the Argentinian control centers and available to Argentinian airports and airlines within 2020, is able to manage efficiently all the dynamic data flow for air traffic control, such as the NOTAM (NOtice To AirMen) required by the service provider to communicate to the aviation community all of the information related to air navigation, flight plans or various bulletins that are issued.

The 2019 AeroSIG (Aeronautical Special Interest Group) was a success and ended with the full satisfaction of our customers! It has been held at ENAV Rome ACC premises. The morning of the first day has been dedicated to our customer’s experiences, with presentations on the use of our systems within their organizations; the afternoon’s topics have covered the latest product developments, from satellite ADS-B data integration to cloud service provision. The second day has seen parallel sessions featuring in-depth discussion on AIS/AIM, Design and Validation, CNS Performance Analysis, and ATM related subjects. Following the success of this year’s event, many of the customers have already confirmed their participation for AeroSIG 2020!
